This project consisted of the construction of a new two-story, 81,000 sf elementary school to replace the existing elementary school on site. The new school includes classrooms, a computer lab, art and music rooms, an administrative and health suite, a multi-purpose room with stage, kitchen, media center, gymnasium, staff offices and related support spaces. This project incorporates 100 geothermal wells and a green roof over the entire building.
The project is LEED Silver certified through the United States Green Building Council. Keller Construction Management provided Construction Management At Risk Services to Montgomery County Public Schools on this project. Pre-construction services provided include: cost estimating, value management, constructability reviews, development of scopes of work for the project, and the development of the construction implementation schedule.
